A hockey player you have probably never heard of put on a remarkable display of stickhandling over the weekend.

After a turnover in the offensive zone, Alexander Toryanik, a 23-year-old Ukranian forward playing with Donbass Donetsk of the KHL, received a nice touch pass in front of the net. Dynamo Minsk defenseman Derek Meech, a veteran of 144 NHL games before taking his talents to Russia, lunged at the puck but missed wildly as Toryanik deftly maneuvered past the blueliner.

Toryanik then avoided the sliding leg pad of former AHL goalie Kevin Lalande, bringing the puck nearly all the way behind the cage before threading it back around and into the net.

Check out the nifty goal in the video below, with a stick tap to Puck Daddy for the find.
