Aqib TalibEAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The Patriots will be without their top cornerback on Sunday.

New England ruled Aqib Talib and safety Tavon Wilson out against the Jets. Talib is dealing with a hip injury, suffered last Sunday against the Saints. Wilson has a hamstring injury. Neither player made the trip to New York.

Talib missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He was back on the practice field for Friday’s session, but he did not appear at full speed.

Last week, the Patriots used Devin McCourty and Logan Ryan at cornerback in Talib’s place. When McCourty moved down to cornerback, rookie Duron Harmon played safety.
