BOSTON — The Bruins have started the season as well as you could hope for at least through two games, and they’ll get something of a break as they look to make it three in a row to open the year.
While Semyon Varlamov has been one of the best goalies in the league so far — boasting a 3-0-0 record with a 1.00 goals against average — it’s expected that Jean-Sebastien Giguere will be between the pipes for Colorado when the puck drops here. It will be Giguere’s first start of the season, potentially a dodged bullet for the B’s.
On the Boston side of the lineup, there are no expected changes. Carl Soderberg remains out with an ankle injury, and Jordan Caron‘s play has made that blow easier to withstand. So Caron will be back in the lineup Thursday, as there are no changes in the Bruins lineup.
Tuukka Rask is expected to get the start.
Here are the projected lines for Thursday night.
