Winger Carl Soderberg‘s ankle isn’t quite ready for him to return to game action, so Caron will get another chance to showcase his skills on the third line when Boston takes on the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night. Caron didn’t get on the scoresheet in the Bruins’ season opener Thursday against Tampa Bay, but he did play a very solid game and did have a goal inexplicably waved off by a referee.
Caron will be back on the third-line left wing with Chris Kelly centering and Reilly Smith on the right.
