The Carolina Panthers absolutely annihilated the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, and Cam Newton played a big role in the blowout.

Newton led the Panthers on five touchdown drives on the day, accounting for four of them on his own (three passing and one rushing). His best play of the day, though was a pretty 79-yard strike to wide receiver Brandon LaFell down the right side.

On the first drive of the third quarter, Newton stepped up in the pocket and delivered a perfect pass deep down the right side to a wide open LaFell. The receiver had a good deal of real estate to work with, but he would need at least one solid block to get him all the way to the end zone. Fortunately for the Panthers, Ted Ginn Jr. was racing alongside and delivered a bone-crushing block on Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes to complete the score.

It’s tough to say which was more impressive, the hit or the touchdown. You be the judge.
