After making a stellar play to rob David Ortiz of a grand slam in Game 1 of the World Series, Cardinals right fielder Carlos Beltran left the game with a rib injury.

The three-time Gold Glove winner was taken to the hospital after he crashed into the outfield wall to make the catch in the second inning, according to CBS Sports. Beltran will have X-rays taken to determine the extent of his injuries.

He was replaced in right field by Shane Robinson, who started the game in center but moved to right. John Jay came out to take over in center field.
