The Boston Bruins didn’t play their best hockey on Thursday night, but a phenomenal performance from goaltender Tuukka Rask was enough to lift the B’s over the Western Conference-leading San Jose Sharks at TD Garden.
Even though David Krejci scored the winning goal with 0.8 seconds left in regulation and also picked up an assist, the first star of the game was Rask. The Finnish netminder made a season-high 38 saves on 39 shots from San Jose, and he kept Boston in the game during a first period that ended with the Sharks out-shooting the Bruins 16-3.
