Danny AmendolaFOXBORO, Mass. — It’s still unknown whether Danny Amendola will return to the field on Sunday, but the wide receiver sounded optimistic on Friday.

“Had a good day today” Amendola said, “Went out to practice, ran around and made some plays. Looking forward to Sunday. So, we’ll see.”

Amendola hasn’t played since Week 1, when he tore his groin muscle in the second quarter. The receiver gutted out the second half and has been practicing since.

Amendola has 10 catches for 104 yards on the season. Julian Edelman and Kenbrell Thompkins have started in his place.
