Czech soccer club Viktoria Plzen lost its UEFA Champions League group stage game against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday in one of the worst ways imaginable.

Plzen goalkeeper Radim Řezník scored an own goal in the 78th minute with his team trailing 2-1. It appears that one of his defenders gave him a quick back pass, and as Řezník begun to clear the ball from the box, he took his eyes off it and missed.

The Czech club attempted an amazing comeback in stoppage time thanks to a goal from Marek Bakos but ended up losing 3-2, with Řezník’s blunder being the difference.

Check out the own goal in the video below.
