American Michael Bradley scored a huge goal for A.S. Roma on Sunday, netting the lone tally in the 82nd minute against Udinese. The win saw the Italian soccer club tie a record for the best start in Serie A (Italian first division) history at 9-0.

It was an exciting moment for Roma fans, and radio announcer Carlo Zampa certainly did not skimp on his call. As Bradley’s strike crossed the goal line, Zampa let out a number of high-pitched shrieks before repeatedly screaming “Lex Luthor!”

Your guess as to what connection a Superman villain has to Italian soccer is as good as ours (Bradley and Luthor are both bald, maybe?).

Hear the audio of the call in the video below, and keep scrolling down to see the goal itself.
