Jarome Iginla waited a mere 19 minutes before dropping the gloves for his first fight in black and gold.

Just before the midway point of the second period in Boston’s season opener Thursday night, Iginla was leveled near the boards by Tampa Bay defenseman Radko Gudas. The hit was clean, but the new Bruin was not pleased with it, and he chose to use some fisticuffs to settle the score.

The result was a spirited bout, with Iginla landing a number of solid shots to the face and head of the bearded Czech blueliner.
