There was nothing intangible about this blast from Jonny Gomes in the top of the sixth inning.

The Red Sox outfielder was a late addition to the Game 4 lineup, inserted only after Shane Victorino was ruled out because of lower back tightness just prior to first pitch, but Gomes made sure he took full advantage of his starting opportunity.

Gomes launched a three-run home run over the left field fence to put the Red Sox up 4-1. Gomes’ first hit of the World Series couldn’t have been more clutch and the outfielder was visibly pumped as he made his way around the bases.
