Umpires making themselves a part of the game is usually frowned upon, but we’re willing to give this ump a pass based on sheer creativity.

Former major league pitcher and current ESPN analyst Mark Mulder posted a video on his Instagram page Thursday afternoon of unarguably the greatest strike-three call in history. In the video, which Mulder said was sent to him by former A’s teammate Bobby Crosby, the umpire lifts the chorus from Tag Team’s early 1990s hit “Whoomp, There It Is” to ring up a batter, and it is glorious.
