Mike Francesa is heated, and he wants everyone to know it.
The subject of his ire? The Sunday Night Football theme song. The WFAN radio host ripped into Waiting All Day For Sunday Night, calling it the “dumbest song ever created.” The song is sung by country singer Carrie Underwood after she took over theme song duties from Faith Hill.
The thing that pushed Francesa over the edge about the song is the fact that the lyrics imply that football fans have been waiting all day Sunday just to catch the Sunday night game.
According to Francesa, “No one waits all day, they watch football all day!”
