Oregon football has seriously branched out from its traditional green and gold color scheme over the last decade, but up until now, the Ducks have never flown in pink.

That will change this Saturday, as the team announced Thursday that it will wear pink helmets, gloves, socks and cleats for its upcoming game against Pac-12 foe Washington State.

After the game, 25 of the helmets will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. The charity, founded in honor of the late North Carolina State women’s basketball coach, has raised more than $2.6 million for cancer research.

“Cancer has touched so many lives and hopefully, together with Nike and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, we can help create awareness and help raise money for the fight against women’s cancers,” Oregon coach Mark Helfrich said in a statement. “It is an honor to join coach Yow’s team in a fight that unites us all.”
