Florida-based Boston fans will have two reasons to make the trip to Sunrise on Thursday night.

The first, obviously, is the fact that the Bruins will be in town to take on the Panthers and reacquaint themselves with old friend Tim Thomas. Thomas has never lined up opposite the team he helped take to the Stanley Cup in 2011, but he has returned from a groin injury in time to start in net against his old mates.

The Panthers are giving Bostonians even more incentive to attend, however. According to an ad on the team’s home page (as tweeted out by the Miami Herald’s George Richards), Game 5 of the American League Championship Series between the Red Sox and Tigers, which gets started just over 30 minutes after puck drop, will be shown on televisions throughout the BB&T Center.

Now, that’s what we call hospitality. Don’t be surprised if the crowd in Sunrise has a very “Fenway South” vibe for this one.
