Pavel Datsyuk Weaves Through Bruins Defenders, Feeds Henrik Zetterberg for First Detroit Goal (Video)

NESN.com staff will pick the two or three best Amica Coverage Plays of the previous week for games played from Friday night to Thursday night. Voting will begin every Friday morning and conclude on Monday.

Pavel Datsyuk cemented his spot in yet another highlight reel Monday afternoon.

During the first period of what ended up being a 3-2 Red Wings at TD Garden, Datsyuk gathered the puck off a Patrice Bergeron turnover, stickhandled past Zdeno Chara and Johnny Boychuck and fed a cross-ice pass to Henrik Zetterberg, who beat Tuukka Rask for the score.

The Bruins almost completed an improbable comeback — which would have been the third in Boston sports in less than 24 hours — when Milan Lucic scored with 1:20 left in the third, but Detroit withstood a final, empty-net surge to take home the one-goal win.

Hear Andy Brickley break down the Datsyuk-to-Zetterberg tally above in the Amica Coverage Cam.
