Peyton Manning, Broncos Listed As 28-Point Favorites Against Jaguars in Week 6

Well, it looks like Las Vegas is underestimating Peyton Manning again. Only a 28-point edge against the Jacksonville Jaguars?

It’s been that kind of season for Manning and the Broncos (5-0), who have amassed 230 points (46 a game) this year. The Jaguars (0-5), meanwhile, have scored just 51 points altogether this season (10.2 average), which just happens to match the total Denver put up against Dallas in its Sunday night win.

Jacksonville is also said to be without starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury, and first-round pick and offensive tackle Luke Joeckel, who is out for the season with a broken ankle.

That all adds up to what looks to be a very painful Week 6 matchup between the Jaguars and Broncos.

The books are opening with Denver as the 28-point favorites, according to reports, a number that’s expected to fluctuate throughout the week. Given what Manning has done and the Jaguars haven’t this season, though, that may be a conservative call.
