Red Sox Fan Did Not Pick Up Live Ray and Throw It During Game 3, Rays Team Official Says

It didn’t take very long to confirm that one of the most ridiculous rumors of the MLB postseason was completely false.

On Monday night, Thomas Beisner, a Kentucky sports television host, tweeted out that a Red Sox fan was escorted out of the park during Game 3 of the ALDS for picking up a live ray out of the tank at Tropicana Field and throwing it.

On Tuesday morning, a Rays team official said that was false. Check out the tweets below.
