Alex RodriguezThe soap opera that is Alex Rodriguez‘s life goes on.

In the latest chapter for the embattled baseball figure, a new book by Michael GrossHouse of Outrageous Fortune: Fifteen Central Park West, The World’s Most Powerful Address, chronicles some of A-Rod’s exploits while living in the fancy apartment complex. Apart from his well-documented relationships with celebrities and actresses, several workers in the building describe their interactions with and observations of Rodriguez during his residence there.

“He got hookers all the time,” one unnamed worker told Gross, as reported by the New York Daily News. “One time he had two go up, they came down and left, and 10 minutes later, Cameron Diaz walks in.”

“He doesn’t care,” another worker said. “He thought he was God.”

Rodriguez’s spokesman, Rob Berkowitz — otherwise known as the busiest man in sports — denied the allegations, saying the claims are “100 percent false, and therefore the author of the book cannot possibly have a single shred of evidence to back them up.”

The book also paints an unflattering portrait of Rodriguez as a neighbor. Other tenants describe him as an “unfriendly narcissist,” that “nobody liked him,” and, bluntly, that “he was a douche.”

Rodriguez seems to have left a consistent impression on his apartment mates. Don’t expect any of A-Rod’s former neighbors to testify on his behalf during the appeal of his 211-game suspension.
