Danny Amendola, Rob GronkowskiFOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady may have one of his key targets back on Sunday.

That player might not be Rob Gronkowski, though. The All-Pro tight end is “still not a sure bet” to play on Sunday, according to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald. There is “more optimism about Danny Amendola playing.”

Gronkowski has yet to play this season. He had forearm and back surgery over the offseason. Amendola played Week 1 but has missed the last three games.

Amendola caught 10 passes for 104 yards in his Patriots debut. He tore a muscle in his groin midway through the game.
