The Los Angeles Dodgers are facing elimination from the NLCS on Friday night, but the team appears to be loose and relaxed prior to Game 6 in St. Louis.

After the singing of the star-spangled banner, Dodgers outfielder Scott Van Slyke and Cardinals pitcher Joe Kelly engaged in a bizarre standoff that lasted almost 15 minutes. The two of them refused to go into the dugout and join their teammates, and neither player wanted to be the first man to back down. I guess you could say that it resembled a staring contest.

In the end, it appeared that Van Slyke had won, but only after home plate umpire Greg Gibson put an end to the shenanigans and ordered both teams into the dugouts.
