Shane Vereen, Tom BradyFOXBORO, Mass. — Bill Belichick was unusually chipper on Wednesday morning during his press conference. We may now know why.

Everyone was present and accounted for at practice for the Patriots. Shane Vereen, Tommy Kelly and Leon Washington all returned. Kelly (knee) and Washington (ankle) were injured against the Bengals in Week 5. They have been out of practice since.

Vereen was placed on short-term injured reserve after breaking his wrist Week 1. He’s eligible to return Week 11.

Aqib Talib was at practice, as he had been for the previous four sessions. He’s still dealing with a hip injury. New defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga was also on the field wearing No. 90.
