If Jonny Gomes was the life of the party after the Red Sox clinched the American League East title, Mike Napoli carried that torch Tuesday night (and into Wednesday morning).
The Red Sox knocked off the Rays in Tampa to punch their ticket to the ALCS, setting off a raucous celebration in the visiting clubhouse. The bearded first baseman relished the scene, parading around in nothing but green swim trunks and sunglasses and dousing everyone in sight with whatever beverage was available.
NESN’s Jenny Dell fell victim to one of these sneak attacks during an interview with Jon Lester and John Lackey. The pitchers got drenched, too, but nobody seemed to mind.
