Source: Patriots Re-Sign Ja’Gared Davis to Practice Squad After Rookie Linebacker Clears Waivers

Ja'Gared DavisJa’Gared Davis was not gone for long.

Just a day after being released from the 53-man roster, Davis has re-signed to the Patriots’ practice squad, according to a source. The linebacker cleared waivers on Tuesday.

Davis was signed to the active roster off the practice squad on Saturday. He played special teams on Sunday against the Bengals.

Davis was claimed off waivers from the Texans by the Patriots on Aug. 28. He was released on Aug. 31 and signed to the practice squad on Sept. 1. Sunday was his NFL debut.

Davis went undrafted out of SMU. The rookie signed with the Texans on April 27.
