Tom BradyFOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady‘s weekly press conference started out on a light note.

The Patriots signal-caller was asked about the Patriots’ Halloween party on Monday night. The quarterback also gave some insight into the mischief he got into during Halloween in his youth.

“Yes. We egged, we TP’ed houses,” Brady said. “We never ghosted, that’s a new thing I guess.”

Brady said he was on the lookout for full-size candy bars while trick-or-treating in his old neighborhood. He wasn’t looking for the healthy stuff — raisins.

“It was great,” Brady said. “We had the perfect block for it. Now, my parents, they probably open the door at four o’clock and they don’t get a chance to close it until 10 o’clock at night so it was a great neighborhood to grow up [in].”

Brady dressed up as the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz during the Patriots’ Halloween party. His wife, Gisele Bundchen, dressed as Dorothy.

“It was pre-courage,” Brady said. “I actually was the Cowardly Lion in our elementary school play so I was drawing back on some past experiences.”

Brady said he still remembered the songs from the school play and began singing one of the songs before sparing the media. The mood was light all around Foxboro. Bill Belichick even cracked some jokes during his press conference.
