The Bruins came out firing against the Devils on Saturday night, bursting out to a three-goal first period. Torey Krug deserves a hefty chunk of the credit for the B’s fast start.
Boston wasted no time at all taking advantage of a power-play opportunity, needing only 11 seconds of the man-advantage to find the back of the net. Torey Krug fired off a wrist shot from the right slot that ricocheted off of a New Jersey skate and right past Martin Brodeur to notch his fourth tally of the season.
