Boston has its fair share of sports legends, from Bobby, Bill and Larry to Tom, David and Ray.

But which active Boston athlete is the biggest legend of them all?

David Ortiz certainly makes a case to be the city’s biggest active sports legend as he now has three titles to his name — not to mention he simply dominates postseason play. Tom Brady has been the biggest name in New England — if not all of football — for the majority of the last decade after scooping up three titles of his own. There’s also Patrice Bergeron, who is destined to one day see his No. 37 rise to the Garden rafters when it’s all said and done. Many believe his best years are still ahead of him despite already winning a Stanley Cup and coming oh-so-close to winning a second last season.

While he’s no longer in Boston, Paul Pierce certainly deserves some attention for the success he brought back to the green side of the Garden. Sure, he’s calling New York his current home but he’ll always be a Boston legend.
