Some lucky fans at the Winnipeg-Chicago game got to see a part of the action in 3-D.
In presumably Adam Pardy‘s worst shift of his career, or at least the strangest shift of his career, the Jets defenseman was the victim of a big check courtesy of Brandon Bollig. The Chicago forward must’ve eaten his Wheaties before the game, though, because the fourth-liner sent Pardy right through the glass.
The pane didn’t break, landing instead on some fans in the first few rows right alongside a few NHLers. It was a bizarre sequence of events, but unfortunately for the Winnipeg defenseman, the worst was still ahead.
As Pardy unintentionally took part in some crowd interaction, one Chicago fan saw an opportunity he couldn’t resist. The man who probably didn’t want to leave his great seats without a souvenir, reached over, snatched the helmet off of Pardy and promptly placed it on his own head.
While the man proudly displayed his new, sweaty headgear, the woman sitting right next to him ensured that Pardy wouldn’t be planning any vacations to Chicago during the offseason, dumping all of her beer on the helmet-less player.
