Alfonzo Dennard Missing From Patriots Practice, Putting Status for Panthers Game in Doubt

Alfonzo DennardFOXBORO, Mass. — After Steve Gregory was the lone Patriots player missing from practice all week, there was a surprise absence on Saturday.

Alfonzo Dennard was not out on the practice field. He’s been dealing with a knee injury and has been limited in practice this week. Gregory has a broken thumb.

Armond Armstead and Mark Harrison were also not on the practice field, which effectively ends their season since their clock for coming off the non-football injury/illness had to start by Week 11.

The Patriots’ roster still stands at 52 players, which means it’s likely Shane Vereen will be activated off short-term injured reserve against the Panthers on Monday night. Vereen has been out since Week 1 with a broken wrist.
