Colts fans have become accustomed to seeing Andrew Luck engineering come-from-behind victories with his arm. He did so again against Tennessee, but on the most important play of the game, the ball never left his hand.

The Colts came out sluggish for the second straight week on Thursday, trailing the Titans 14-0 and 17-3 in the first half of the AFC South matchup. An Adam Vinatieri field goal in the closing seconds of the second quarter cut the deficit to 17-6, and a Donald Brown rushing touchdown midway through the third brought Indy to within four.

A fumble on the ensuing kickoff gave the Colts excellent field position, allowing Luck to engineer a quick and tidy drive that put the visitors ahead for good. The second-year quarterback — who was held without a passing touchdown in the contest — faked a pass to the right at the snap, causing defensive end Derrick Morgan to leap wildly and creating a wide-open hole for Luck to scamper into the end zone.

The Colts took a 20-17 lead after the extra point and withstood a late Titans charge to leave Nashville with a 30-27 win.
