Hail Mary? More like Hail Marshall.

After Georgia crawled their way back against Auburn, overcoming a 20-point fourth-quarter deficit courtesy of three straight Aaron Murray touchdown drives, the Tigers staved off their ferocious rally with a miraculous play of their own.

With the Bulldogs up 37-36 with less than a minute remaining, Auburn was facing a fourth-and-18 situation from their own 27-yard line. Quarterback Nick Marshall turned the hopeless situation into the most hopeful one possible, though, tossing up a Hail Mary into triple coverage that bounced off of the hands of a couple of Georgia defensive backs and right into Ricardo Louis‘ outstretched arms for the 73-yard touchdown.

It may have been all sunshine and rainbows for Auburn, but the insane play was almost too much to bear on the Georgia sidelines. After staging an impressive comeback and coming within inches of completing the upset over their SEC rival, the amazing last-ditch effort from Marshall put the Bulldogs coaches over the edge and they simultaneously collapsed as Louis ran it into the endzone.

Auburn held off Georgia on their final drive to go on to win 43-38.
