Berkshire Bank Faceoff: Dennis Seidenberg Looks to Be Returning for Bruins Against Rangers

Dennis Seidenberg, Steven StamkosBOSTON — After a dreadful showing Wednesday night in Detroit, the Bruins can use all the help they can get going forward. It appears they’ll get some of that much-needed help Friday afternoon against the New York Rangers.

Bruins coach Claude Julien said it was “looking good” that defenseman Dennis Seidenberg would return, and the veteran D-man was a full participant in the pregame skate and taking line rushes alongside Dougie Hamilton. It also appears Matt Bartkowski will go back to the press box as a healthy scratch. It would be Seidenberg’s first game action since Nov. 19 against the Rangers coincidentally.

Fourth-line winger Shawn Thornton, who sat Wednesday night against the Red Wings, also looks to be back in the lineup against the Rangers. That means Jordan Caron will sit again.

Here are the rest of the projected lines for both clubs.
