Berkshire Bank Faceoff: Loui Eriksson to Return to Bruins Lineup, Tyler Seguin Makes Return to Boston

Loui Eriksson, Patrice BergeronIt’s still way too early to really look at and assess the Bruins-Stars blockbuster trade that took place over the summer, but that won’t stop people from trying to do so on Tuesday night at TD Garden.

That’s where Tyler Seguin, Rich Peverley and the Dallas Stars will make their way to Boston, the first time those two have skated at the Garden since they were traded to Dallas on July 4. Fittingly, Bruins winger Loui Eriksson, one of the biggest pieces of that trade, will make his first appearance since Oct. 23. He’s been out since then after suffering a concussion against the Buffalo Sabres a couple of weeks back.

A lot is being made about Seguin’s return to Boston, but Bruins head coach Claude Julien isn’t really paying much mind to that.

“Yeah, I think it’s more important that we do the scouting on their whole team and how they play,” Julien said following the team’s morning skate. “So again, for us it’s us turning the page and we’ve got some players here that are coming back in our lineup and hopefully will help us be a little bit better than we were the last game.”

The Bruins could certainly use any help they can get, and having Eriksson and (most likely) Johnny Boychuk back in the fold should certainly help. Boston has lost three of its last four games with their most recent setback coming in an ugly loss on Long Island on Saturday night.

Here are the projected lines for Tuesday’s game.
