Reggie Jackson has a lot riding on his 6-foot-3, 200-pound shoulders this season.

The Boston College alum needs to develop a consistent outside shot and become reliable on defense for the Oklahoma City Thunder to continue to rise in the Western Conference. Even with Russell Westbrook‘s return to the lineup, the Thunder will require somebody to stretch the floor to open things up for Westbrook and Kevin Durant on offense.

On the defensive end, at least, Jackson appears to have it covered. At the end of the third quarter on Sunday, Phoenix’s Ish Smith tried to take a jump shot at the buzzer. But Jackson wasn’t having it, stuffing Smith’s shot and blocking it out of bounds as time expired.

The Thunder won 103-96.
