The Boston Bruins are one of the few NHL teams that could play its fourth-line players for 10 or more minutes each game and not decrease its chances of winning.
Boston’s trio of Shawn Thornton, Gregory Campbell and Daniel Paille, considered by many as the best fourth line in the league, provide valuable scoring depth and play a responsible two-way game for head coach Claude Julien.
Through 22 games, these three veterans have combined for seven goals and five assists. Thornton and Paille have scored three goals each, which is one more than superstar centers Claude Giroux and Joe Thornton, both of whom have tallied just two goals this year.
