Detroit Gets on Board During First Period After Johan Franzen Leads Odd-Man Rush (Video)

The Bruins followed up a strong power play with a less-than-stellar line change.

But after the B’s failed to get on the board, Johan Franzen raced out of the box to lead the Red Wings’ 3-on-2 rush down the other end of the ice. Although he appeared to have whiffed on his shot, Justin Abdelkader¬†was there to finish off the play, poking the puck past Tuukka Rask to give Detroit a 1-0 lead in the first period.

Check out the first goal of the game in the above video as the Amica Coverage Cam breaks it down.
