Third period, 19:01, Bruins 3-0: There was no goaltender interference there, as the Tampa Bay net was vacant.
Jarome Iginla just finished this one off with the empty-net goal.
Third period, 18:23, Bruins 2-0: It looked like the Bruins had taken a 3-0 lead in the final two minutes, but it was waved off.
David Krejci appeared to have scored, but incidental goaltender interference was called on Jarome Iginla, and the goal does not count.
Third period, 16:02, Bruins 2-0: It wasn’t a pretty power play for the Bruins, and it just came to an early end.
Zdeno Chara kind of ran into Valtteri Filppula at the Tampa Bay blue line, and the Bruins center was called for interference.
Third period, 14:23, Bruins 2-0: The Bruins will look to put this one away on the power play.
Victor Hedman was called for high sticking, and the Bruins are going on the power play for the first time in this one.
Third period, 13:09, Bruins 2-0: Make it 21 straight for the Bruins penalty kill.
The B’s were extremely aggressive on that one, and they made it difficult for the Lightning power play to even enter the zone. Of course, it’s a little difficult to operate the power play when you’re missing arguably the game’s best goal-scorer.
Third period, 11:02, Bruins 2-0: It hasn’t been especially physical or chippy, but things are starting to get a little more heated here in the third period.
Gregory Campbell is going to the penalty box for cross-checking after he and Alex Killorn got tied up in front of the Boston net. The Bruins will look to kill off their 21st straight penalty here in the third.
Third period, 9:25, Bruins 2-0: The Bruins are giving a little third-period push-back here with a good shift was started by some great work in the offensive zone by Matt Bartkowski. He’s been fine today in place of the injured Adam McQuaid.
Third period, 7:21, Bruins 2-0: The Lightning are saying that Steven Stamkos is on his way to the hospital where he’ll undergo X-rays.
On the ice, the Bolts continue to put pressure on the Bruins. A Tampa Bay shot just rang the outside of the post, as they have picked up their game here in the final period.
If the Bruins really want to feel good about themselves after this one is done, they’ll need to do a better job of finishing this one off.
Third period, 5:30, Bruins 2-0: The Lightning, despite being down two players — Steven Stamkos and Sami Salo — have come out buzzing here in the third period.
They’ve had a handful of scoring chances already, but Tuukka Rask remains impenetrable between the pipes for the Bruins. He’s up to 21 saves so far.
Third period, 0:01, Bruins 2-0: The third period is underway with the Bruins looking to finish off what would be their third win in a row.
End second period, Bruins 2-0: The horn sounds on the second period with the Bruins leading 2-0.
By the way, the scoring on the first Bruins’ goal has been changed. Patrice Bergeron gets credit for the goal, and Torey Krug and Brad Marchand get the assists.

Second period, 17:29, Bruins 2-0: It’s all Bruins now.
Daniel Paille just scored on a breakaway with a fantastic move in which he maneuvered around the defense before potting a backhander.
Second period, 17:09, Bruins 1-0:Â The Bruins finally break through.Â
A mad rush from the second line leaves a loose puck in the slot that Torey Krug was able to jump all over. He finally bats it home and the B’s take the 1-0 lead.
Second period, 16:30, 0-0: Reilly Smith owes Tuuka Rask dinner or something.
Smith just committed a brutal turnover in his own zone, and Tyler Johnson took the puck right in the left faceoff dot. He put the puck on net, but Rask made the save.
Second period, 12:49, 0-0: It looks like it will be a long time before we see Steven Stamkos again.
The Tampa Bay sniper just crashed into the Lightning net after getting tangled up with Dougie Hamilton. It didn’t look good at all as Stamkos would eventually be stretchered off. That looks to be a very serious leg injury.
Stamkos was writhing in pain on the ice before the medical staff was able to get out to the ice to reach him. He removed his helmet and gloves and slammed his gloves on the ice. The medical staff eventually got out to the ice and the first move was to stabilize the leg. He had his leg in the air as he was put on the stretcher. When the stretcher was being wheeled off, Stamkos had his hands over his face.
Second period, 10:14, 0-0: The Lightning are starting to get their act together and are playing a better second period.
They just had a great chance when Martin St. Louis picked Milan Lucic’s pocket and then fed Steven Stamkos. The sniper sped into the Boston zone and put a shot on goal that Tuukka Rask was able to stop.
The Lightning followed that up with a good shift in the Boston zone which produced a few more shots on goal.
Second period, 7:13, 0-0: Brad Marchand has been the best player on the ice so far, which is no small feat given the talent both of these teams have.
The Bruins winger just used a nifty spin move to get around Sami Salo before putting a backhander on net, but Anders Lindback kicked it away with a right pad save.
Second period, 5:00, 0-0: The Bruins were easily able to kill off the penalty to Dougie Hamilton. Tampa Bay only put one shot on goal during the man-advantage.
The Bruins have now killed off 20 straight penalties.
Second period, 2:30, 0-0: Boston is going to have to kill off another penalty here early in the second.
Dougie Hamilton just flipped the puck over the glass in his own end, and he’s going to the penalty box for delay of game.
Second period, 1:01, 0-0: The Bruins have picked up right where they left off in the first period.
Patrice Bergeron just tipped a puck in the neutral zone to Brad Marchand, and Marchand walked in a fired a wrist shot that hit the crossbar.

End first period, 0-0: The Bruins dominated most of the first period, but the horn sounds with no goals for either team.
The B’s outshot the Lightning 12-7 in the first.
First period, 18:30, 0-0:Â The Bruins’ first line has been buzzing so far. They just had their best shift of the game, which produced a couple of scoring opportunities, but Anders Lindback was up to the challenge, and the B’s couldn’t quite settle a couple of loose pucks that were near-scoring chances.
First period, 15:00, 0-0: The Lightning have certainly given the Bruins a fair amount of breakaway chances here in the first period.
Jarome Iginla was the latest to get loose coming out of the Boston zone, as he walked in all alone on Anders Lindback. He beat the goalie, but he hit the post to Lindback’s right.
First period, 13:13, 0-0: Milan Lucic has the good legs going so far.
He just barreled into the zone with the puck on his stick as he broke past the Tampa Bay defense in the neutral zone. His slap shot from the top of the left faceoff circle whistled by the net, though.
First period, 12:07, 0-0: Brad Marchand has really been playing well lately after a slow start to the season, and he almost netted his third goal of the season.
The forward burst up ice with a head of a steam and used some nifty stickhandling to get around the Tampa Bay defense. He put a backhander on Anders Lindback, but the goalie made the save. Marchand couldn’t quite get enough on it to lift the puck or do anything else with it, but it’s a good scoring chance nonetheless.
First period, 7:59, 0-0: The Bruins killed off the Chris Kelly penalty, and that makes it 19 straight for the Boston PK.
The Lightning registered one shot on goal during the man-advantage, a real nice look in front for Teddy Purcell. Tuukka Rask made a very nice right pad save to stop the scoring chance.
First period, 5:37, 0-0: The Lightning will get a chance to put its 13th-ranked power play to work here in the early going.
Chris Kelly ran into Anders Lindback, and apparently it was enough to warrant a goaltender interference call.
First period, 2:56, 0-0: The Bruins have certainly gotten off to the kind of start they wanted.
Boston has outshot Tampa Bay 4-0 in the early going with a handful of relentless shifts. The play has been in the Lightning end all game save for one icing on the Bolts.

12:40 p.m.: The Bruins are shaking up the D-pairs for this game with Adam McQuaid out and Matt Bartkowski in the lineup.
Zdeno Chara will skate with Dougie Hamilton, Dennis Seidenberg is paired with Torey Krug, while Johnny Boychuk and Bartkowski make up the third pairing.
12:35 p.m.: The two teams are in the midst of pregame warmups right now. Tuukka Rask will get the start for the Bruins, and Anders Lindback gets the nod for Tampa Bay.
12 p.m.: We just got done hearing from Claude Julien, and the Bruins coach confirmed what was already expected — Adam McQuaid is out.
The defenseman suffered a lower-body injury Saturday night against Toronto, and he’ll sit out at least one game. There’s no timetable for his return.
Matt Bartkowski will jump into the Bruins’ lineup.
9:20 a.m.: With it being Veterans Day and all, the Bruins will be doing plenty to honor those brave men and women who have served our country.
The B’s will wear these camouflaged sweaters during warmups, and a group of Bruins also purchased a bunch of tickets that will be given to veterans for Monday’s game.
8:30 a.m.: The Bruins will look to do something Monday afternoon that they have done only once this season — go on a winning streak.
The B’s will host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday in Veterans Day matinee action, and Boston is looking for its third win in as many games. After losing four of five and hitting a low point in the young season, the Bruins have bounced back with a pair of wins in their last two games. They beat Florida 4-1 on Thursday and followed that up with a 3-1 win over Toronto on Saturday night in their first meeting since last year’s playoffs.
Now the Bruins will look to make it a three-game winning streak against a surprising Tampa Bay team. The Lightning come in with a 12-4-0 record on the season, good for first place in the Atlantic Division. However, two of those four losses have come against the Bruins, who beat the Bolts on opening night and then hammered Tampa Bay 5-0 on Oct. 19 down in Florida. Like the Bruins, the Lightning have been playing as of late as they come in riding a four-game winning streak.
Once again, Steven Stamkos is having another fine season for Tampa Bay. He comes in tied for the league lead in goals and points with 14-9-23 totals. Stamkos has a six-game goal streak going, so it goes without saying that slowing him down will be key for the B’s.
