Texans Lions FootballThanksgiving just wouldn’t be the same without a few core items: family, food and football. But while the holiday is a time for feasting on turkey, stuffing and pigskin, it’s also a time for being grateful.

Much like families around the dinner table, every NFL team has something to be thankful for this holiday season. The Seahawks, Broncos, Patriots and Saints may have the most to be thankful for, as they are sitting in prime position to capture a first-round bye in the playoffs. But even the lowly Texans, Falcons and Jaguars can dig deep and find something to take pride in this year.

Having a great quarterback like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady might be just the beginning of a hearty plate of fixings to appreciate for some teams, but that list might not be so extensive for others like the Giants, Jets and Raiders.

While most players and coaches sit at home, enjoying a day off with family and friends, the Cowboys, Raiders, Lions, Packer, Ravens and Steelers will all suit up, giving up something else to be thankful for this year.

Even though it may not seem like it, all 32 NFL teams have something to be thankful for this year, whether it’s as obvious as a MVP-worthy quarterback or as obscure as a fax machine.
