Allie Clifton had to go into this job knowing sidelines could be dangerous territory. Heck, she handles danger so well that maybe her pregame routine includes dodging drills as well as vocal warm-ups.
Whatever her prep work may be, Clifton showed her reporting chops Thursday night in Minnesota when a stray ball came her way as the Cavs and Timberwolves warmed up for their game. Clifton, in the middle of her sideline report, took a ball right off the top of her head — but just kept talking.
The Cavs did not respond to adversity as well as the FOX sideline reporter, falling 124-95 to the Wolves.
