Wedding ringWhat’s the most you’d be willing to part with to see your undefeated NFL team play? One woman is offering to give up a pretty pricey piece of jewelry in exchange for tickets.

The Denver Post has the story of a suburban Kansas City woman who put her wedding rings on Craigslist under the title: “Will trade Diamond Ring for Chiefs Tickets.” Wedding Ring Lady, as the Post refers to her, was on the hunt for tickets to the Dec. 1 Broncos-Chiefs game — she wanted to surprise her husband for his 40th birthday.

The Chiefs currently sit at 9-0 in their turnaround season, and fans have been clamoring to see their hometown team live. The tickets sold out early, so Wedding Ring Lady came up with a plan.

She made a post on Craigslist saying that the diamond ring/wedding band set was appraised at $3,100 and she implored would-be sellers to contact her via email.

Wedding Ring Lady told the Post that the rings are actually from a previous marriage, so her husband wouldn’t notice that her symbol of lifelong love and devotion had gone missing. She told the paper that the ring “holds no value to me and is a lot easier to part with over tickets than handing that much cash over for the tickets.”

Wedding Ring Lady said she’s had a few offers already that she’s turned down, but is currently trying to work something out with an interested party.
