Chris Chelios is just as tough in a suit as he was on the ice, and NESN’s Andy Brickley and Jack Edwards were reminded of that on Wednesday night during their pregame broadcast.
The Hall of Fame defenseman, who currently serves as the executive assistant to Ken Holland, the Red Wings general manager, needed to get from Point A to Point B before the puck dropped, and the only thing standing in his way was a live telecast.
The three-time Norris Trophy winner didn’t let that stop him, though, as Chelios barged right in between Brickley and Edwards, prompting Brick to chirp the NHL legend by saying, “That’s the only time he’s ever gotten past me.”
