Jim Irsay Compares Colts’ Struggles to Hijacking by ‘Machine Gun Maniacs,’ Says Team Has to Get Heads Out of Butts

The Indianapolis Colts have been horrid over the past few weeks, and Sunday’s 40-11 blowout loss to the Cardinals was the final straw for owner Jim Irsay.

Irsay, who is very active on Twitter, took to the social media site on Tuesday to express his frustrations over the team’s recent play, which has included the offense scoring less than 12 points twice over the last four games and the defense allowing more than 32 points per in the same stretch.

The Irsay eruption, as it usually does, included some interesting descriptions and analogies about the Colts’ play since their bye in Week 8. Andrew Luck and Co. squeaked out a couple too-close-for-comfort victories against division rivals Houston (27-24) and Tennessee (30-27) during the stretch as well as the ugly loss to Arizona and an even uglier one in St. Louis (38-8) earlier in the month.

Irsay didn’t hold back anything in his latest Twitter rant, explaining that he still believes in his team but that he feels like he’s been fleeced by “machine gun MANIACS!” of late.

Check out the eccentric owner’s rant below.
