tortorellaJohn Tortorella‘s time with the New York Rangers was a bit tense, to say the least, so all eyes will be trained on Madison Square Garden on Saturday night when Torts returns to the Garden at the helm of the Vancouver Canucks.

The split was less than amicable, but Tortorella did take some positives away from his time coaching the Rangers. All history will be thrown out the window come Saturday night, though, when Tortorella’s focus turns to coaching the Canucks past his former team.

In a pregame press conference, Torts laid out his game plan and responded to the question of whether he would be visiting with any Rangers on the trip.

“I’m going to coach this game, hopefully kick their [butt] and get outta here,” he said via the Canucks’ Twitter account.

It seems that Torts won’t even have any kind of contingent in the building cheering him on, either. When asked whether he had any family or friends attending the game in his former home he said, “Not a soul. Not a soul.”
