The L.A. Kings may have lost more than just the game on Tuesday night.

Jonathan Quick was forced to leave the ice against the Buffalo Sabres with 1:20 to play in overtime after suffering an injury while stopping a shot. With Buffalo attacking, the Kings goaltender made a save with his left pad, but while he was retreating to the post, he slid awkwardly into it and appeared to suffer some sort of leg injury on the play.

Once the puck was dead, trainers came out and backup Ben Scrivens was called on to replace Quick. Scrivens gave up two goals in the shootout as the Sabres went on to win, 3-2, despite being outshot 42-17.

It is unclear at this point how much time Quick will miss, if any.
