On one hand, the former Miss Alabama is the longtime girlfriend of Crimson Tide quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate AJ McCarron. But many forget that Webb is actually a graduate of Auburn, giving her a stake in both sides of one of the SEC’s fiercest rivalries.

McCarron has started the last two Iron Bowls for Alabama, winning both by a combined score of 89-14, but Webb was not in attendance for either of those games. She will be this Saturday, and she told USA Today this week the the quarterback has expressed concern over her safety in a stadium full of Auburn fans.

“This is the first actual game, Iron Bowl, that I will be attending,” Webb said. “I don’t know what to expect and I’m really nervous.

“AJ just in his protective nature, we talked about it last night. And he was like, ‘I’m concerned. I don’t know what the fans are gonna do.’ And I’m like, ‘It’s OK. I’ll be sweet, genuine and nice like I always am if anything were to happen.'”

This Saturday’s Iron Bowl should certainly be the most competitive of McCarron’s tenure. The undefeated Tide enter the game as the undisputed national No. 1, but the Tigers (10-1) come in ranked fourth in the country with their best squad since the days of Cam Newton.

Alabama has hardly been tested all season, however, winning all but one game by 21 points or more. The lone exception coming way back in Week 2, a 49-42 barnburner against Johnny Manziel and a Texas A&M team then ranked sixth in the nation.
