The Boomer Sooner chant came to life in Norman, Okla., on Saturday.

Oklahoma absolutely crushed Iowa State on Saturday afternoon, but the Cyclones weren’t the only ones to get crushed on the Sooners’ home field. After suffering a tough loss to Baylor last week that knocked them out of the BCS title picture, the Sooners took the field in front of the home crowd on Saturday ready to make a scene. Unfortunately, so did one unlucky fan.

A fan ran onto the field during the second half of the Sooners’ 48-10 win over the Cyclones, seemingly trying to attract some attention and get the Oklahoma fans riled up. The fan camped out around the 10-yard line, waving some boom sticks and jumping up and down in excitement. But, while the fans enjoyed his few seconds of fame, a nearby Oklahoma state trooper had a different thought on the matter.

The trooper sprinted across the field from the opposite sideline, lowered his shoulder and delivered a vicious hit that even the refs would approve of on the unsuspecting fan. The fan went flying down to the ground as security guards made their way out to the scene and escorted him off the field.

Check out some hilarious footage and a photo of the incident below.
