Pavel Datsyuk is a highlight waiting to happen every time he steps on the ice.

The Russian stickhandling extraordinaire was at it again Thursday night, victimizing Dallas Stars center Shawn Horcoff with a vicious deke midway through the third period.

After receiving a pass from teammate Henrik Zetterberg at the point, Datsyuk bore down on Horcoff, who whiffed badly on an attempted poke check. Now hopeless on defense, Horcoff could do nothing but watch as the Red Wings sniper blew past him and fired a shot over the right shoulder of goalie Kari Lehtonen.

The goal gave Detroit a 3-2 lead with less than 10 minutes to play, but Horcoff’s club would get the last laugh. Third-year center Cody Eakin netted the equalizer with 1:10 to play in regulation, and Rich Peverley scored with just 19 seconds remaining in overtime to give Dallas the win.
