Americans across the country are gearing up to celebrate Thanksgiving, and the Nashville Predators have provided the perfect video to kick off the country’s Turkey Day festivities.

Without Pekka Rinne, the Predators have been a team perpetually orbiting a .500 record. Things might be looking up for the Music City crew, though, after Nashville downed the Toronto Maple Leafs by a score of 4-2 on Nov. 21. To best Canada’s most popular team in Canada’s most populous city is one thing, but the box score shows just how American-centric the game really was — all four Nashville goals were scored by American skaters (Seth Jones, Matt Cullen and two from Craig Smith) and six of the eight assists were also thanks to Uncle Sam’s frozen heroes, with well-meaning but misguided Canadians Gabriel Bourque and Nick Spaling graciously taking the backseat to their glorious American teammates.

In celebration of Nashville’s dominance over Toronto and de facto annexation of all of Canada, Saturday’s game against the New York Rangers saw the Predators release a patriotic highlight video of their victory, replete with soaring bald eagles, 50-foot players posing behind Mt. Rushmore and freedom-inspiring subliminal images of Chuck Norris, Captain America and Hulk Hogan.
