Prince Fielder, Ian Kinsler Talk Trades in 2010 Commercial (Video)

The Rangers and Tigers pulled off the first blockbuster trade of the offseason on Wednesday, swapping second baseman Ian Kinsler for slugger Prince Fielder and a bundle of cash.

It’s not the first time the two All-Stars have been mentioned in trade talks, however. In 2010, back when Fielder was still a member of the Brewers, the two starred in a commercial for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball in which Kinsler tries to swing a fantasy baseball trade for Tim Lincecum.

The new Tigers infielder offers to trade himself and Fielder for the Giants pitcher, which, based on how Lincecum has eroded over the past few seasons, would have been a pretty terrible deal on Kinsler’s part.

Oh, and Derek from Step Brothers is there too.
